Contemporary artists shed light on life in the Motor City during the past decade in the exhibit Detroit Revealed: Photographs 2000-2010. From its neighborhoods, factories and vast urban prairies, the exhibition includes more than 50 photographs by selected artist.

Once Upon a Time: Prints and Drawings that Tell Stories will highlight selections from many familiar series, portfolios, and books, as well as examples that have rarely or never been seen at the Detroit Institute of Arts.

New Holland Brewing Company offers brewery and distillery tours at the Production Brewery on Commerce Court every Saturday, and live music and food and beer pairings at the New Holland Pub on 8th Street. Tours are $10 per person and include samples of our beer as well as a take-home New Holland pint glass. Summer tour hours begin May 7 and run through November 19.

The Detroit Institute of Arts recently received a generous bequest and rich art collection from James Pearson Duffy, one of Detroit’s most unorthodox collectors. This exhibition showcases this varied collection of drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures and photographs.

The Grand Rapids Public Museum is preparing an interactive exhibit, Thank God for Michigan! Stories from the Civil War, which opens June 13, in recognition of the date the first local soldiers left to join the battle. It showcases more than 100 artifacts from the museum's vast collection – uniforms, weapons, photographs, letters and more and tells the personal stories of Michigan’s involvement in the historic conflict. It will examine the causes and impacts of the war from national, regional and personal perspectives.
