An ever popular destination, The Henry Ford in Dearborn offers a fun, learning and historical adventure for all ages. Soar over to Heroes of the Sky: Adventures in Early Flight, where you will be awed and inspired by stories from the first 40 years of aviation. Check out the Dymaxion House - the visionary, futuristic architecture of R. Buckminster Fuller. The Made in America exhibit exquisitely shows visitors the manufacturing power from the 18th to 20th centuries. "With Liberty & Justice for All" is a groundbreaking, new exhibit that explores the proud and often painful evolution of American freedom from the Revolutionary War through the struggle for civil rights.
Head to Downtown Detroit and check out the Detroit Institute of Arts, which features the Rembrandt and the Face of Jesus - an exhibition of 64 works of small, intimate paintings, prints and drawings by Rembrandt and his students that illustrate how Rembrandt broke from traditional 17th-century representations of Jesus.
Check out the Detroit Historical Muesuem to experience the old style and wonder of the past. Over 80,000 square feet of exhibition space house more than 600 historic artifacts in the heart of Detroit’s Cultural Center district. Visitors will stroll through more than 300 years of metro Detroit history, including a 19th century street scene known as The Streets of Old Detroit, and an authentic auto assembly line known simply as The Motor City.
Founded over 75 years ago, the Flint Institute of Arts is a museum dedicated to collecting, preserving and presenting art of the highest quality from around the world. Today, the FIA's collection includes over 7,000 works of art, ranging from important American and European paintings and decorative arts to Native American, African, and Asian artifacts.
